Cannon Ball Site

The Cannon Ball Site is an area off Pendennis that was used by Pendennis Castle as it’s practice firing range. It lies roughly a mile offshore in 15-20m and is reasonably interesting just for the life and scallops around. The fact that there are still hundreds of 24lb cannon balls lying around that divers can pick up is also quite an attraction. The cannon balls are gradually getting less & less and new areas have to be found all the time.A site that can be dived at any state of the tide as a small drift helps you cover more ground.
